About The Position
Adult Basketball Court Monitors watch game play on self-officiated basketball courts, assist with rule interpretation, mediate disputes between teams regarding game play, and assist scorekeeper with the book or board. Other duties may include setting up court supplies, first aid, and paperwork.
Requirements
- Must have knowledge of basketball rules and operations
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Responsibilities
- Watch game play on self-officiated basketball courts
- Assist with rule interpretation
- Mediate disputes between teams regarding game play
- Assist scorekeeper with the book or board
- Setting up court supplies
- First aid
- Paperwork
- Ensure facility is ready for play
- Supervise assigned personnel
- Verify court's game book/final scores
- Handle and distribute City information when required
