The Adult Inclusion Specialist provides support, direct care, and training to individuals, ensuring their health and safety in accordance with relevant regulations. This role involves providing skill training, recreational and community activities, and assistance with daily living tasks such as feeding, personal care, hydration, range of motion, and mobility, all as per the Individual Service Plan (ISP) and Delegated Nursing Procedures. The specialist is responsible for breaking down job duties into specific steps to facilitate learning, assisting consumers with job tasks, and monitoring the quality of their work to meet industry standards. Client safety and comfort are paramount, requiring the ability to perform emergency CPR and First Aid when necessary. The position also entails extensive documentation, including progress notes, program sheets, service goals, and behavior support plans, in compliance with various regulations. The specialist monitors consumer performance, maintains accurate records of job coaching services, manages client funds for community outings, and acts as a liaison with families, caregivers, and advocates. Additional duties include compiling program evaluation data, driving and maintaining center vehicles for client transport, and cleaning programmatic equipment. Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to work overtime are essential to meet client needs and handle emergencies.
