About The Position

Hudson Public Schools is seeking an Adult Education ESOL Instructor for the Hudson Adult Learning Center at Hudson High School. This position involves teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) night classes, focusing on speaking, listening, and writing skills. Instruction is primarily in-person, with the potential for remote teaching via Google Meet on snow days. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (reporting at 5:30 PM), generally from September to June. The role is funded by a DESE/ACLS Grant, with a pay rate of $37 per hour of instruction plus paid prep time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Experience with English Language Learners (ELLs) required
• Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (CORI), and fingerprints

Nice To Haves

• DESE licensure or TESOL preferred

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the curriculum of the Adult Learning Center program
• Provide instruction in speaking, listening, and writing English skills
• Comply with all school regulations and policies at all times
• Take attendance and document daily notes
• Ensure classroom and work is kept clean and orderly
• Uphold an orderly classroom environment and provide a positive learning experience
• Conduct instruction remotely via Zoom, if needed
