About The Position

People Helping People has been the foundation of Senior Friendship Centers for over 50 years, and we are looking for a dynamic Adult Day Services Program Manager! We are seeking an energetic, engaging, and highly organized Adult Day Services Program Manager who brings enthusiasm to their work! Someone who loves to host, plan, and create meaningful experiences while keeping our guests happy, safe, engaged, and having fun every day. This role requires someone who is just as comfortable working behind the scenes completing all the managerial and contract obligations as they are being in the spotlight. This position will lead the Sarasota Adult Day Services team with compassion, collaboration, respect and integrity. Our Adult Day Services Programs offer loved ones who are experiencing frailties of aging a welcoming place to spend the day. Guests enjoy engaging activities, music, art/pet therapy, cognitive stimulation, socialization, cozy fireplaces, comfy chairs, and a spacious outdoor area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Services, Social Services, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory capacity experience in a social service or health care service setting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Must have experience using computer software applications for record management and the ability to quickly learn the organization’s systems.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, must be able to be on your feet all day when needed.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to navigate various departments of a physical location.
  • Must be able to assist potentially frail seniors in wheelchairs or using assistive devices.
  • Occasional travel to other ADS program locations to assist with program duties and training.
  • Travel within the several counties in which Senior Friendship Centers Inc. operates may be required as frequently as needed to support operations, fundraising, and outreach.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are required for all work-related travel.
  • Satisfactory clearance of a fingerprint-based, level II background screening, tuberculous test, and pre-employment substance abuse testing is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • All applicants must pass a Level 2 Background Screening.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of one year of experience in providing services to persons who have dementia preferred.
  • Day care experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining current knowledge and implementation of AHCA regulations to maintain Adult Day Care licensure.
  • Assure all record keeping is completed based on AHCA and all regulatory compliance standards.
  • Lead, supervise, and support Adult Day Service staff according to AHCA and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Schedule staff and program activities according to licensure requirements and client needs.
  • Provide and coordinate in-service and mandatory training for staff and orientation for new ADS employees.
  • Conduct tours, interview, and assess potential clients.
  • Ensure that the assessment and admission process are completed in a professional and timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with various funders and their case management teams, including authorization of services for funded participants.
  • Oversee client documentation.
  • Assure all required chart documentation is completed for clients enrolled in the ADS program and is maintained in a secure setting.
  • Manage client status (active, hold, seasonal) and effectively communicate with families from admission through discharge.
  • Monitor the budget of Adult Day Service in compliance with the organization’s fiscal policy.
  • Assure billing process is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Render invoices for purchases and donations to the Fiscal department.
  • Complete annual employee performance appraisals in addition to providing regular feedback.
  • Report any incident of abuse or neglect as mandated by state guidelines.
  • Must comply with HIPAA regulations and OSHA laws and safety guidelines.
