About The Position

AbilityPath is hiring an Adult Day Program Manager. This role is for individuals passionate about supporting adults with developmental disabilities to thrive, build skills, and create meaningful pathways to employment and community inclusion. The position involves leading program operations and inspiring staff in delivering high-quality adult and employment services. The compensation is $70,000–$78,000 annually, based on education and experience. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday. This position will work out of our Burlingame and Daly City locations.

Requirements

  • B.A. or M.A. in a relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years of program and staff supervision experience, serving adults with developmental disabilities
  • Strong skills in leadership, communication, and family engagement
  • Ability to manage program budgets, reporting, and compliance
  • Commitment to inclusion and supporting individuals of all abilities
  • Valid California Driver’s License with 3 years clean driving record (if applicable)
  • Proof of negative TB test
  • Verification of physical clearance
  • Passing a criminal fingerprint clearance
  • 21 years of age for driving positions; 18 years or older otherwise

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational oversight and supervision of program staff, ensuring high-quality adult and employment services.
  • Hire, train, and supervise program staff, ensuring effective performance and professional growth.
  • Align program design with strategic goals, Employment First principles, and best practices in vocational and human services.
  • Oversee person-centered planning, documentation, case management, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Build meaningful family relationships, guide intake activities, and support participants in achieving success in program trials and transitions.
  • Train staff on modifications, develop behavioral plans, and increase participant engagement.
  • Monitor staff ratios, manage budgets, track outcomes, oversee facility needs, and support safety and cleanliness.
  • Coordinate vocational and volunteer opportunities, and transport participants to community activities as needed.
