Adult Broomball Official
About The Position
The Adult Broomball Official is a seasonal position officiating games for the City of Minnetonka’s adult broomball league. Games are held on Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Valley Park and/or Harley-Hopkins Park in Hopkins, from January 7 through February 25. The position pays $36.00 per hour. The official provides quality customer service before, during, and after league games, communicates closely with the Recreation Program Manager, and conducts themselves professionally. The role requires knowledge of broomball rules and the ability to enforce them and communicate professionally with co-workers and players.
Requirements
- Commitment to and belief in the organization’s shared values.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Knowledge of the game and rules of the program.
- Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers and players.
Nice To Haves
- Previous broomball or hockey officiating experience is desired.
- Applicants without broomball or hockey officiating experience may be considered if they have an advanced understanding of the game and previous officiating experience in another sport.
Responsibilities
