About The Position
The purpose of this position is to provide high-quality instruction to adult English Language Learners to improve their English speaking, listening, reading, writing, digital literacy, and civics skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and experience in related field.
- Computer proficiency.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual proficiency.
- TESOL certification or coursework in English Language Learning.
Responsibilities
- Assess the academic needs of student learners.
- Schedule, administer, score, and interpret assessment and other tests in career and course planning; assist students with interpretation.
- Work with students to increase their basic skill development in the English language.
- Provide instruction and classroom management to student learners.
- Work with program software, including Zoom.
- Assist in the recruitment, enrollment and retention of student learners.
- Work with instructors, agency representatives and others to deliver services and study materials to students.
- Assist with the development of ELL curriculum.
- Collect and maintain student data and program records.
- Use database applications to create and manage files and communicate requested information, maintaining confidentiality.
- Assist students in person, online, and by telephone.
- Use excellent communication and human relation skills.
- Perform other related duties as required.
