About The Position

Camelot Community Care, a large non-profit organization with over 500 employees, is dedicated to helping children reach their fullest potential. We foster an organizational culture that empowers local programs and staff to design and deliver services tailored to community needs, with corporate administration providing guidance and support. The Adoption Recruiter will identify families for participation, select and support children and youth in need of adoption, collaborate with stakeholders to finalize adoptions, and track outcomes. This role involves working directly with children to understand their aspirations for an adoptive family, educating them about adoption, their rights, and dispelling myths. Recruiters will facilitate the matching process by allowing children to vet potential connections, present children to families through co-planned mixers, and communicate with families while reviewing their profiles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services field (social work, psychology)
• Two years of child welfare experience.
• Must have current CWCM through the Florida Certification Board.
• Position requires travel, night/weekend availability is needed for meetings and events.
• All positions require screening through the Florida Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

• One year of adoption experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for working with children and youth in need of adoption recruitment, streaming the matching process, and producing adoption finalization's.
• Meet with children to understand their hopes for an adoptive family.
• Speak to children about adoption to ensure they understand their permanency goal, their rights, and to debunk adoption myths.
• Allow children, when appropriate, to vet their own connections be selecting families for children to see pictures of, read welcome letters, and watch videos provided.
• Co-plan and host quarterly mixers to present children to families to secure connections.
• Communicate with families and view family profiles.
