The Adolescent Support Specialist provides direct care, supervision, and support to adolescent boys in a short-term transitional living program. They act as positive role models, fostering a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment that supports each youth’s social, emotional, and academic development. The Specialist reinforces individualized treatment plans, facilitates appropriate groups, and conducts therapeutic programming under the supervision of the Clinician and Shift Supervisor. The role requires sensitivity to issues such as mental health, suicide, and contraband, and includes advocating for youth while communicating regularly with parents and guardians.
