High Focus Centers in Havertown is a premier provider of outpatient treatment for adolescents and adults facing mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. We are currently seeking a dedicated Adolescent Counselor to join our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who is passionate about working with teens and families in a collaborative, fast-paced treatment environment. The Adolescent Counselor will provide direct clinical services within our daytime PHP, facilitating therapeutic groups, conducting assessments, and delivering individual and family therapy. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a team-oriented setting and is committed to helping adolescents build the skills needed for long-term success.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field required.
  • Completion of a clinically focused internship or practicum required.
  • Prior experience providing counseling services to adolescents in a behavioral health or treatment setting required.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong clinical assessment, group facilitation, and crisis intervention skills preferred.
  • Experience with CBT, DBT, and family systems approaches is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate PHP and outpatient group therapy sessions for adolescents using evidence-based modalities, including CBT and DBT.
  • Conduct approximately 6–8 Level of Care Assessments weekly.
  • Provide individual and family therapy sessions to support treatment goals and family engagement.
  • Develop and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and the interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Participate in clinical staffing, case consultations, and treatment team meetings.
  • Complete insurance authorizations and utilization reviews as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Assist with additional programmatic and clinical responsibilities as assigned.
