Adolescent & Adult Psychiatrist – Part-Time
About The Position
Iris Telehealth is seeking a passionate Psychiatrist (MD/DO) for a flexible, fully remote, part-time opportunity to provide high-quality behavioral health care. This role involves treating patients ages 12+ in an outpatient setting for a Community Mental Health Clinic (CMHC) partner. The position offers 16 hours per week, primarily on Wednesdays and Fridays during PST hours, with the support of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and a robust administrative team. The focus is on delivering impactful care to patients with moderate acuity and diagnoses including SUD, MAT, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, and dual diagnoses. Initial visits are 60 minutes, with 30-minute follow-ups. No on-call duties are required, and dedicated support staff will assist with administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Completion of a 4-year ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency.
- Active California medical license required.
- Availability for 16 hours per week during PST hours.
- Experience and comfort treating patients ages 12+ across varying acuity levels.
- Must reside in the U.S. or a U.S. territory.
Nice To Haves
- Fluency in Spanish preferred.
- Telehealth experience preferred.
- Experience using SmartCare is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality behavioral health care to patients ages 12+ in an outpatient setting.
- Treat patients with moderate acuity and diagnoses including SUD, MAT, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, and dual diagnoses.
- Conduct initial psychiatric visits (60 mins) and follow-up appointments (30 mins).
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts in psychiatry, neurology, and psychology.
- Focus on patient care, supported by administrative staff for refills, paperwork, and phone calls.
