Adolescent & Adult Psychiatrist – Part-Time
About The Position
Iris Telehealth is seeking a passionate Psychiatrist (MD/DO) for a flexible, fully remote, part-time opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients ages 12+ in an outpatient setting. The role involves treating patients with moderate acuity and diagnoses including SUD, MAT, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, and dual diagnoses. The position offers 16 hours per week, scheduled for Wednesdays and Fridays during PST hours, with no on-call requirements. The psychiatrist will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, supported by administrative staff, and will focus on patient care. Appointment times are 60 minutes for initial visits and 30 minutes for follow-ups, with an additional 30 minutes of administrative time daily. Dedicated support staff will assist with refills, paperwork, and phone calls.
Requirements
- Completion of a 4-year ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency.
- Active California medical license required.
- Availability for 16 hours per week during PST hours.
- Experience and comfort treating patients ages 12+ across varying acuity levels.
- Must reside in the U.S. or a U.S. territory.
Nice To Haves
- Fluency in Spanish preferred.
- Telehealth experience preferred.
- Experience using SmartCare is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality behavioral health care to patients ages 12+ in an outpatient setting.
- Treat patients with moderate acuity and diagnoses including SUD, MAT, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, and dual diagnoses.
- Conduct initial visits lasting 60 minutes and follow-up visits lasting 30 minutes.
- Allocate 30 minutes of administrative time daily.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts in psychiatry, neurology, and psychology.
- Focus on patient care, supported by administrative and IT teams.
