About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill an ADMS Functional Architect position for our client. This role involves reviewing current operational applications, conducting impact assessments, and revalidating application capabilities against prioritized business and technical workflows. The architect will also review future-state ADMS application capability requirements, assess impacts within the context of planned data and integration changes, and partner with Business Analysts and Integration Architects to map workflows to supporting applications. Ensuring operational workflows are technically feasible within the target-state ADMS architecture, documenting application-level dependencies, and collaborating with Integration Architects to identify gaps are key responsibilities. The role supports strategic and technical planning for ADMS transformation initiatives, evaluates application capabilities against real-time operations and analytics requirements, and identifies opportunities to improve system interoperability and efficiency. The architect will also support the development of future-state application architecture, integration requirements, and transformation roadmaps, ensuring recommendations consider industry standards, security, and regulatory compliance.

  • Strong understanding of ADMS concepts, architecture, capabilities, and utility operational workflows.
  • Strong understanding of outage management, distribution operations, switching, asset tracking, customer communications, and related utility processes.
  • Ability to assess current-state application capabilities and identify functional gaps against future-state ADMS requirements.
  • Experience with application integration, interfaces, data flows, and integration standards/protocols used in utility environments.
  • Strong business and technical analysis skills with the ability to translate operational requirements into application capabilities and technical requirements.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with Business Analysts, Integration Architects, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to document complex application dependencies, workflows, interfaces, inputs, and outputs clearly.
  • Understanding of real-time operational requirements and the relationship between operational systems and analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with utility compliance, security, and regulatory requirements affecting application data and business processes.
  • 8+ years of experience working with utility applications, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, functional architecture, or related technology disciplines.
  • Experience supporting ADMS, OMS, SCADA, GIS, CIS, DERMS, or other utility operational transformation initiatives.
  • Proven experience performing application capability assessments, impact assessments, gap analyses, and future-state planning.
  • Experience mapping business and operational workflows to enterprise applications and technology solutions.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams involving business analysts, integration architects, enterprise architects, and utility operations stakeholders.
  • Experience with utility application integration and data exchange patterns.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
