About The Position

The Admitting Manager provides leadership, direction, and administration for all aspects of the Admitting department. The department includes registration functions throughout the hospital, the information desk, financial counseling, cashier processes, insurance verification, hospital mail processes, and the PBX area.

Dallas Regional Medical Center is a 202-bed acute care hospital and a member of Prime Healthcare. The hospital offers emergency care, cardiology, wound care, surgical services, cardiac catheterization, and imaging, among other services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience required.
• Strong organizational skills for effective communication with patients, physicians, the public, staff, and administration.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Accounting preferred.
• Three to five years of experience as a supervisor or manager in the admitting areas of an acute care facility preferred.
• Understanding of and ability to interpret third-party payer principles and terms and COBRA laws.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
