About The Position

Admissions Specialists process admissions to KidsPeace Children's Hospital from referral through completed admission. The role requires a working knowledge of the KidsPeace continuum of care and a customer-focused, mission-driven approach to ensure timely admissions processing at KidsPeace National Centers. The specialist also develops and demonstrates a working knowledge of mental health delivery systems to help callers identify appropriate programs for clients who are not accepted at KidsPeace.

Requirements

• Associate degree or at least 60 college credits required.
• Basic personal computer knowledge and skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in mental health or a related field preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Some experience with acute emotionally challenged children or adolescents preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process hospital admissions from referral through completed admission.
