About The Position

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center located in beautiful, sunny Orlando, FL. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults. Position Summary
The Admissions Rep/Registrar is responsible for executing the registration process for new patients.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Investigation. Please visit the following link for more information: https://info.flclearinghouse.com
• Education: High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Experience: A minimum of one (1) year related experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Skills: Must be able to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Must have good organizational, prioritization, computer technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to maintain information as highly confidential.
• The Admission Rep/Registrar must be available to work weekends and holidays to support continuous 24-hour patient coverage.
• Must be available to attend the full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Collecting demographic and financial information
• Obtaining required patient and/or designee signatures on documentation
• Verifying insurance coverage and explaining coverage details
• Collecting all applicable out-of-pocket expenses, deductibles, and co-pays through an electronic system
