About The Position

Avalon Care Center at Northpointe is seeking a part-time Admissions Nurse (RN) in Spokane, Washington. The nurse supports new residents’ transition into the facility by coordinating admissions and completing clinical assessments. The role involves working with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care and establish a foundation for resident-centered care. The position is scheduled Sunday through Tuesday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at one work location.

Requirements

• Current RN license in Washington State or eligibility under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Previous nursing experience, preferably in skilled nursing or long-term care.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to pass employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Complete admission assessments and clinical evaluations for incoming residents.
• Coordinate admissions to ensure a smooth transition into the facility.
• Review hospital records, physician orders, medications, and care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care.
• Educate residents and families about admission procedures and care expectations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance throughout the admission process.
