About The Position

Pasadena Christian School seeks an Admissions, Marketing, and Engagement Manager to design, implement, maintain, and assess the school’s recruitment, enrollment, retention, brand/identity, and communication efforts. This position requires interaction on and off-campus with PCS constituents and interdepartmental communication with all School Directors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Communications, or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in admissions, marketing, or related field, preferably in an independent school or nonprofit setting.
  • Proven success in developing and executing enrollment or marketing strategies.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and social media tools.

Responsibilities

  • As the first point of contact for prospective enrollment families, fields, filters, and responds to all enrollment inquiries.
  • Develop and implement annual and long-term enrollment strategies aligned with institutional goals.
  • Lead and manage all phases of the admissions process from inquiry through enrollment.
  • Cultivate relationships with prospective families, feeder schools, and community organizations.
  • Coordinate admissions events such as open houses, campus tours, interviews, and orientation.
  • Maintain and analyze enrollment data to inform planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and follow up with prospective families.
  • Organizes, manages, and disseminates enrollment “packets.”
  • Articulates all admission standards, requirements, and timelines to affected parties.
  • Checks and updates the validity and completeness of information in the enrollment “packet” and determines admission eligibility.
  • Coordinates and schedules all applicant screening and testing with the Principal and Leadership Administrative Team.
  • Conveys the school’s spiritual mission by conducting in-person tours, meetings, and direct communication.
  • Ensures that all tour “routes” are presentable and reflect the school’s high-quality standards.
  • Prepares, disseminates, and evaluates surveys of the “Admission Experience” for continuous improvement.
  • Plans and develops strategic recruitment initiatives with community partners (i.e., preschools, churches, high schools) focusing on the importance of Christian education.
  • Routinely and reliably communicates with the school’s departmental Directors on enrollment projections and retention (re-enrollment).
  • Keeps families informed of important re-enrollment dates and facilitates year-to-year student carryover.
  • Adheres to a 24-hour window to return communication with all internal and external inquiries.
  • Attends local admissions events.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications plan to enhance visibility, reputation, and enrollment.
  • Oversee the creation of print and digital marketing materials, newsletters, videos, and website content.
  • Manage the school’s social media presence and digital advertising campaigns.
  • Ensure brand consistency and quality across all internal and external communications.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for media and public relations.

  • Working with the business office on marketing and engagement resources and allocation.
  • Analytically strategizes marketing initiatives to positively influence community members toward inquiry and engagement with the school.
  • Provide a plan to grow the school’s alumni association.
  • Develop a strong relationship with families for positive “word of mouth” advertising.
  • Maximizes marketing and communication efforts through effective resource management (schedule, budget, indirect/direct costs, and labor).
  • Works closely with high schools to support 8th-grade graduates to High School matriculation.
  • Monitors marketing and communication trends in education and adapts collateral accordingly.
  • Casts a “future smart” vision to prepare the school for future trends.
  • Works with freelance consultants as needed for print, social media, website, and professional networks (i.e., LinkedIn).
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
