About The Position
Harney District Hospital is looking to hire a part-time Admissions & Customer Service Representative to join our team. This part-time position will work approximately 32 hours per week. The starting hourly wage is $17.37 and increases based on experience. This position is also eligible for medical, vision, dental and retirement benefits. An Admissions & Customer Service Representative is responsible for greeting visitors and patients, as well as, performing a variety of office tasks related to admitting of patients. Requirements
- Knowledge of general office practices
- Knowledge of computer/data entry procedures
- Knowledge of operation of office equipment
- Knowledge of use of telephone systems
- Knowledge of arithmetic, spelling, English and grammar
- General knowledge of confidentiality concepts and requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with public, insurance companies and staff both orally and in writing
- Ability to maintain processes and composure while handling a sensitive situation with coworkers, patients, or visitors
- Equivalent to a high school education and six (6) months related experience or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities
