About The Position

Harney District Hospital is looking to hire a part-time Admissions & Customer Service Representative to join our team. This part-time position will work approximately 32 hours per week. The starting hourly wage is $17.37 and increases based on experience. This position is also eligible for medical, vision, dental and retirement benefits. An Admissions & Customer Service Representative is responsible for greeting visitors and patients, as well as, performing a variety of office tasks related to admitting of patients. Requirements

  • Knowledge of general office practices
  • Knowledge of computer/data entry procedures
  • Knowledge of operation of office equipment
  • Knowledge of use of telephone systems
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, spelling, English and grammar
  • General knowledge of confidentiality concepts and requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with public, insurance companies and staff both orally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain processes and composure while handling a sensitive situation with coworkers, patients, or visitors
  • Equivalent to a high school education and six (6) months related experience or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with public and/or in a hospital environment
  • Experience communicating with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds
