About The Position

The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM), one of twenty campuses of the University of Arkansas System, is seeking an Admissions Counselor. This role is responsible for the recruitment of students for the university. The Admissions Counselor will attend high school college planning programs, college fairs, transfer fairs, specialty events, and virtual events to attract potential students. They will provide information about the university and its resources to prospective students and families, and advise students and families on admission policies, program options, financial aid, residential options, scholarships, special services, and career paths. The position also involves assisting with campus tours, special events, visitors, and other areas within the Office of Admissions. Management of communication with prospective students through phone calls, emails, and social media is a key responsibility. Travel for recruitment events, including evenings and weekends, is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in student recruitment, admissions, or enrollment management preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
