About The Position

The Admissions Counselor plans, develops, and manages a comprehensive recruitment strategy aligned with UW–Green Bay’s strategic enrollment goals, representing the university to prospective students, families, schools, and community partners. Conducts targeted outreach via CRM Salesforce to support yield efforts through personalized communication. Southeastern Wisconsin territory management; delivers presentations and detailed information specific to admissions, cost, scholarships, academic programs, etc. Builds and maintains relationships with high school counselors, staff and community organizations; coordinates high school visits, events and virtual student meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree by start date
  • Experience in admissions, customer service experience within higher education, or related field

Nice To Haves

  • Professional experience in K-12 or post-secondary education
  • Proficiency in speaking and reading in a second language, preferably Spanish, Hmong, Oneida, or Somali
  • Experience with software systems such as Peoplesoft, Salesforce, ImageNow that support Admissions processes

Responsibilities

  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for events to promote the Institution
  • Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships focusing on outreach, recruitment, and admission
  • Identifies opportunities for and develops admissions and outreach events
  • Recruit and counsel prospective students by providing timely and accurate information about degree options, admission procedures, general education requirements, supporting and major course requirements for available programs of study, and rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the institution
  • May supervise staff and/or lead a program area
  • Delivers directed admissions program messaging to internal and external audiences
  • Use CRM Salesforce to effectively recruit students
  • Counsels prospective and admitted students on educational planning and career opportunities
  • Creates targeted communication plans and materials based on established goals
  • Engages in extensive outreach and recruitment events, representing the university to prospective students
  • Evaluates program effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement
  • Reviews, evaluates, and responds to student applications according to established policies and procedures
