Occupational Summary: The Office of Admissions is responsible for enrolling and re-enrolling students who contribute to and benefit from the mission and goals of Beloit College. The position of Admissions Counselor is an important role that operates as a salesperson, advocate, recruiter, and positive representation of Beloit College.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Positively and effectively represent Beloit College to prospective students, parents, high school counselors, college bound organizations, alumni, and the general public.
  • Actively recruit prospective students (and parents) at college fairs and high school visits in assigned geographic territory.
  • Manage assigned territory by scheduling and visiting secondary schools, attend college days/nights, college fairs, and community colleges in assigned territory.
  • Conduct and manage outreach (email, phone, text, virtual meetings, etc) to multiple recruiting classes on an ongoing basis.
  • Read, process, and evaluate applications from assigned territory.
  • Maintain and update prospective student records in Slate (CRM).
  • Build relationships with students in assigned territory to encourage movement through the student enrollment process.
  • Assist with special projects such as events, daily visits, and the student ambassador program.
