About The Position

Florida SouthWestern State College is seeking an Admissions Counselor I to join their team. This role is responsible for promoting the College externally through community outreach, programs, and events to encourage student recruitment and enrollment. The Admissions Counselor I, Recruitment will build rapport and relationships with prospects, applicants, and admitted students, guiding them through the entire enrollment process. They will provide accurate information on admissions requirements, enrollment procedures, financial aid and scholarships, and program details.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
• Two (2) years of full-time professional work experience in admissions, customer service, or high-value relationship-based/consultative sales.
• Ability to travel to businesses, schools and other community contact locations independently.
• Overnight travel and weekend work are required.
• Ability to confidently present to diverse groups as a representative of the College.
• Ability to confidently promote College programs and the benefits of higher education.
