Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Registered Nurse preferred.
- Rehab Therapist preferred.
- Social Worker preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with health care admissions processes and pre-authorization
- Familiarity with payer sources and insurance products
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate patient admission according to patient acuity, bed availability, and required services.
- Perform onsite clinical assessments of potential candidates.
- Coordinate transfer process, working with referral sources, insurance companies, and various healthcare staff and departments.
- Monitor patient’s insurance status during hospital stay.
- Assist with development and improvement of processes designed to keep referral sources informed of patient status and discharge recommendations.
- Provide pre-admission assessment, insurance verification, and pre-certification for admission.
