About The Position

We Are Seeking an Admissions Assistant to Join Our Team! This is a Part-Time position with a Day Shift from 6AM - 6PM. The Admissions Assistant plays a vital role in the timely conversion of referrals to admissions and facilitating an effective resident/patient admission process. They report to the Admissions director.

Requirements

• Must have a high school Diploma or equivalent G.E.D
• Must have 2+ years of experience in an Admissions/Marketing position in healthcare environment – long term care experience required
• Must possess knowledge of Medicare and 3rd party billing
• Must possess knowledge of medical terminology (as to discuss clinical evaluations with physicians and other care givers within facility)
• Must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Assist Admissions Director with managing the admissions and inquiry process
• Conducting facility tours
• Ensuring appropriate admissions paperwork/signatures are obtained prior to admitting new patients
• Continuously maintaining a high level of customer service
• Maintain a working knowledge of both Federal and State regulations and reimbursement
