Admissions Assistant Director
About The Position
The Division of Enrollment Management within the University of North Texas Health Science Center encompasses Admissions & Recruitment, Financial Aid and Student Records & Enrollment. This team assists students from the beginning of their academic journey through their degree completion at UNT Health. The Department of Admissions and Recruitment at the UNT Health is seeking to hire an Assistant Director for Recruitment/ to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: supervising 3 full-time staff members, implement targeted recruitment initiatives for the recruitment team, leveraging the UNTH’s footprint and resources to build an incoming class of high caliber students.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and five (5) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong customer service orientation, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to manage and supervise staff, foster employee retention, facilitate open communication, and encourage continuous performance improvement.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Director of Recruitment and the Executive Director of Admissions and Recruitment in the identification, development, and implementation of strategic recruitment initiatives designed to reach desired outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with all pertinent stakeholders.
- Provide outstanding customer service and assist students throughout the entire application/enrollment process.
- Assists in the overall operations of the recruitment team.
- Coordination and management of undergraduate recruitment activities, which includes Registration and participation in high school fairs, community college fairs and tabling.
- Coordinating logistics and materials needed for the fairs, preparation and distribution of faculty packets.
- Organizing and conducting training sessions for faculty to effectively recruit students.
- Organizing on-campus and virtual events for advisors.
- Coordinating event logistics and participant engagement.
- PATH Academy Initiative lead efforts for our mentorship program by organizing monthly co-curricular activities with our team, as well as planning and executing a 10-day summer camp.
- Supervising direct reports, conducting weekly meetings and providing guidance, ensuring completion of strategic plans.
- Ensures that brochures are readily available on request and sent out to prospective students upon request.
- Supervises the General Admissions Inbox.
- Follows up with prospective applicants and current students promptly either through emails, telephone or regular mail or by having a brief face to face interaction.
- Travels DFW, the State of TX, and Out of State Institutions to various College Fairs and Events representing UNT Health.
