About The Position

UPMC Wellsboro has a Full-Time Administrator on Duty Opening! This role involves coordinating patient admissions, discharges, and transfers to support facility throughput. The Administrator on Duty provides direction to department leaders for safe staffing levels and efficient hospital operations. They serve as a resource for all staff, applying competent knowledge and skills to achieve quality outcomes. This position also includes interim leadership responsibilities, crisis management intervention, and acting as a representative of hospital administration. The role involves channeling pertinent patient, employee, and department information to appropriate internal and external sources.

Requirements

BS/BSN required.
If BS degree not in nursing, a Master's or higher degree in Nursing is required.
Minimum of 3 years clinical experience required.
Must maintain a solid/strong performer rating on annual performance review.
Registered Nurse.
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Registered Nurse (RN)
Act 34
Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
