About The Position

The Maryland Military Department (MMD) is looking for a candidate to fill our Administrator III position! The selected candidate will work as the Camp Fretterd Enclave Manager. This position works on a compressed work schedule from 6:30 am to 5 pm, Tuesday through Friday!

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
  • Six years of administrative staff or professional work.
  • Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
  • Ability to pass a State & Federal background check to access military facilities within the state of Maryland.
  • Ability to pass a Federal background check in addition to a State background to access the Federal computer systems by being issued a CAC card.
  • Possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland with less than 5 points to operate a state vehicle.

Nice To Haves

  • At least (4) years of direct experience supervising and evaluating multi-disciplinary facility maintenance crews
  • Experience overseeing diverse building trades, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, drywall, and painting.
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, life safety codes, and environmental compliance related to facility operations and hazardous material handling.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a military, government, or large campus environment
  • Work order management

Responsibilities

  • Ensure CFMR is operational 27/7/365.
  • Executes comprehensive preventive maintenance program.
  • Inspect CFMR buildings and grounds to ensure proper use by tenants and guests.
  • Detect potential or existing life safety and environmental hazards.
  • Reviews and approvals all work orders prior to submission or execution.
  • Supervises a staff comprised of Skilled Trades employees and Maintenance Chief positions
  • Determine maintenance and housekeeping requirements.
