Network Administrator III
About The Position
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Administrator III to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This position is on-site 5 days a week. The role involves installing, supporting, and maintaining LANs and WANs, evaluating and recommending networking product and software upgrades, and performing technical analyses of hardware and software. The administrator will monitor data traffic, control network resource performance, and identify and resolve technical problems related to network failure, integrity, and PC hardware/software usage. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of processes, procedures, and systems, as well as developed advanced specialized expertise to perform complex work. Effective communication of ideas in a concise and logical way is also essential.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (4 years of experience can be substituted for a degree)
- Nine (9) Years of information technology experience
- Must have a current/active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS.
Nice To Haves
- Master of Science Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Familiarity with the United States Navy preferred.
- Experience with NSWC Corona RS Division and NCTE
Responsibilities
- Installs, supports and/or maintains LANs and/or WANs; evaluates and recommends networking product and software upgrades
- Performs technical analyses of software, hardware and transmission facilities using various diagnostic tools in support of efficient network operations
- Monitors data traffic and controls network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission
- Identifies, diagnoses and resolves technical problems related to network failure/integrity and usage of PC hardware and software requires comprehensive understanding of processes, procedures, and systems within own and related areas
- Requires developed advanced specialized expertise within an analytical or technical area to perform the most complex work
- Requires tact and diplomacy to communicate ideas in a concise and logical way.
