About The Position

The Administrative Technician role is essential to supporting division management, section supervisors, specialists, and technical field staff in meeting compliance deadlines and maintaining operational efficiency. This position is located in the Storm Water Quality Division of the Public Works Department within the City of Oklahoma City and is responsible for providing advanced administrative support, including higher level clerical and research duties. Typical duties include: assisting in a variety of administrative matters; maintaining a wide variety of statistical records; verifying elementary statistical data and reports for accuracy and completeness; and providing technical assistance or support to professional staff. Other duties may include: assisting in conducting surveys and/or research relating to department/agency operations; inputting and maintaining data in computerized system and generating computerized reports; and performing related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application submission.
  • Employees in part-time/year-round positions may work no more than 29 hours per week.
  • Completion of the application questions is required.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced administrative support for permit review and data entry into regulatory management systems.
  • Permit-related communications.
  • Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) research and response.
  • Action Center intake, tracking, and distribution to technical staff.
  • Division-wide communications.
  • Additional administrative duties necessary to support operations.
  • Assisting in a variety of administrative matters.
  • Maintaining a wide variety of statistical records.
  • Verifying elementary statistical data and reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Providing technical assistance or support to professional staff.
  • Assisting in conducting surveys and/or research relating to department/agency operations.
  • Inputting and maintaining data in computerized system and generating computerized reports.
  • Performing related duties as assigned.
