The PWC Police Records Administrative Technician is responsible for processing critical administrative tasks and projects that support the Police Department and Community Members. This position consists of learning and executing critical, confidential records-related procedures and processes that serve internal Units and external Agencies. Admin Techs must demonstrate the ability to provide excellent customer service and to partner effectively. Organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to process complex procedures accurately, and an understanding of certain State statutes related to Records retention are key. This incumbent will be able to work effectively both in a large team and independently. The incumbent must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Outlook, with strong data entry skills and the ability to analyze data to support and execute established procedures. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of police records processing, including front desk operations; processing police incident reports in compliance with NIBRS standards; responding to crash and incident report requests; processing arrest records; and executing court-ordered expungements. The successful candidate must provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate effective communication skills when assisting community members in person, by phone, and through email. Responsibilities also include processing financial transactions with a cash register and providing professional, courteous service at a public-facing front desk.
