About The Position

This position is crucial for helping keep our communities healthy. It involves providing exceptional customer service while maintaining HIPAA Standards and working with a multicultural community. The role performs a variety of administrative functions in support of the WIC program and requires cross-training for triage, call center, and other duties. Services are provided to infants, toddlers, and pre-/post-natal women, and may include low-risk nutritional counseling in individual or group settings. The position must comply with state policy and procedures and may involve providing services in multiple counties. Responsibilities also include responding to Public Health Emergencies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to perform basic office functions and computer-related duties.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
  • Ability to bend and reach up.
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Male applicants between 18 and 26 years of age must present proof of Selective Service Registration.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous employment with any state’s Department of Public Health or a County Board of Health
  • Completion of an associate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
  • WIC experience
  • One or more years of experience performing complex office/administrative duties in a Medical Office setting
  • Call Center experience
