About The Position

This is a highly responsible position, reporting directly to the Court Services Administrative Officer (CSAO) and supervising the administrative support unit. This position will oversee administrative duties of the Court Services Administrative Officer including coordinating office operations, logistics and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency, fiscal and budgetary duties (purchasing, payments, and check requests), recruitment, hiring, and staff supervision, and Human Resources (maintaining personnel files and KCJIS files, familiarity and compliance with FMLA and ADA guidelines). This position will serve as a liaison between the District Court Services and the Johnson County Financial Management and Administration Office. The ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational and time management skills and have the ability to problem solve and work well with other District Court staff and county departments.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate
  • Minimum of three years of increasingly responsible administrative work in an office setting
  • High degree of initiative, independent judgement and discretion in handling delegated administrative details
  • Attention to detail
  • Written/oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain harmonious working relationships
  • Preserve confidentiality in all matters

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in budgeting and financial responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with purchasing, personnel and/or staff supervision
  • Strong computer skills including Oracle, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work both individually and as a team
