About The Position

The Administrative Support professional provides Command Pay and Personnel Administrator (CPPA) services, correspondence management, office automation, military awards processing, personal evaluations and fitness reports processing, directives, and forms management at the Center for Information Warfare Training, Pensacola, Florida.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must possess and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure, handle stress, and deliver professional results.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with minimal oversight.

  • Availability during core hours of operations: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (0700 to 1600 hours) EST, Monday through Friday excluding Federal Holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CPPA duties as the representative for matters affecting pay, transportation, advancement, service record maintenance for both staff and students, and attend meetings.
  • Process documents via the Transactions Online Processing (TOPS) necessary for service record entries.
  • Initiate and prepare outgoing correspondence in accordance with originator instructions and the Navy Correspondence Manual (copy to be provided to contractor at contract start) and review for completeness and correctness. The employee shall ensure all typed correspondence is proofread and the routing is annotated on the routing.
  • Assemble all correspondence in the correct sequence, send prepared correspondence to the appropriate person through the command’s applicable routing chain for signature, monitor all outgoing action correspondence, and send a tracer if.
  • Type, edit, format, and print a wide variety of documents for the command staff, including correspondence, technical reports, organizational proposals and justifications, technical notes, instructions, notices, and other documents.
  • Process and review requests for new or revised directives, draft requested directives, and distribute for comments and changes to the appropriate government approving.
  • Proofread final directive, obtain signature or approving authority, prepare reproduction request, or copy directive for distribution, develop a history file for each new directive, and insert all attachments and comments.
  • Serve as Command Leave Authority.
  • Ensures adherence to all company safety rules and SOPs in the area of responsibility.
  • Rectifies unsafe actions and/or conditions immediately.
  • Participates in maintaining a safe work environment by sharing and participating in all safety-related meetings, training, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
