About The Position

Coordinate the delivery of accommodations and services such as testing and assistive technology check-out. Welcome and screen office visitors, emails, and phone calls for staff, taking messages or referring inquiries as appropriate. Independently research matters to respond to inquiries. Coordinate continuous office coverage for optimal response to walk-in visitors and callers. Develop and update training materials for service areas, including general explanations of principles, techniques, standards, guides, and professional skills for working with students with disabilities. Assist in data collection and monthly reports for service usage. Oversee office supply inventory to ensure stock is maintained and costs are kept within budget. Maintain a central filing system for the division, including confidential and non-confidential files, to ensure timely and accurate filing for easy retrieval.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Type 45 wpm.
  • Four years of general office support or technical experience.
  • Applicants for staff and management positions must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Nice To Haves

  • Training in a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for 6 months of experience.

  • Coordinate continuous coverage for the office to allow for optimal response to walk-in visitors and callers, both within and outside of, the university.
  • Develop and update training materials for service areas that include general explanation of principles, techniques, standards, guides and professional skills to be implemented when working with students with disabilities.
  • Assist in data collection and monthly reports for service usage.
