About The Position

The Administrative Specialist serves the needs of the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing. Job expectations include assisting the clinical onboarding team with clinical placement and support, assist with securing new sites and placements; maintaining student files; assisting with admission and enrollment; assisting with student compliance verification; examining and verifying documents; performing duties which include assisting with event planning and facilitation such as new student orientation and convocation; and performing other general office related duties as assigned. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • Formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
  • At least one year of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to work performed
  • Proficient knowledge and skill using computers and software including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Well-developed customer service skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain filing and other record-keeping systems
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Ability to analyze documents to determine compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Highly organized with the ability to work on multiple tasks at any time
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using the University of Arkansas Workday (non-student view) system
  • Experience providing student/customer service
  • Higher education work experience
  • Familiarity with Workday and the Workday applications
