About The Position

The Administrative Supervisor shares in coordination, responsibility and accountability of all Hospital/Departmental operations providing administrative oversight in the absence of Administration and Department leaders.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Applied Science (AAS).
  • A minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience.
  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
  • Demonstrates leadership, motivational skills, emotional maturity and the ability to function effectively when under stress.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, program development and project management skills.
  • Possesses skills in group facilitation and/or team building.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
  • A minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience in critical care or an emergency department setting required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Telemetry Certification preferred
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification preferred
  • IV Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Consistently and promptly responds to all emergencies with expert nursing skill and leadership support, mobilizing organizational resources to meet needs as required.
  • Consistently manages multiple priorities, meeting deadlines and expectations in quality and regulatory project management.
  • Acts as a liaison and seeks to improve processes for bed utilization.
  • Provides timely notification of critical events to all appropriate individuals according to organizational policies and practices.
  • Fosters and maintains effective working relationships among team members while holding all accountable for organizational commitments.
  • Sets and maintains high standards for quality and service, sharing knowledge and expertise in order to achieve desired results.
  • Consistently support activities and/or projects that promote patient satisfaction within a patient centered care framework, working toward best practice targets.
  • Consistently collaborates and provides guidance and direction to nursing and ancillary team members on an ongoing basis to ensure quality standards are being met.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
