The Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice is a multi-faceted agency that serves juveniles of the Commonwealth. Requirements

  • Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • One year of professional, administrative, or business experience.
  • Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

  • Provides professional administrative support to facility staff in the review, evaluation, development and implementation of the agency’s activities.
  • Compiles and maintains reports.
  • Interprets and applies procedures; participates in management team meetings.
  • Serves as facility timekeeper by preparing and maintaining all time and attendance records for time entry.
  • Responds to verbal and written inquiries from facility staff and the general public.
  • Opens and sorts incoming mail and distributes to appropriate staff.
  • Prepares release packets for youth; coordinates youth graduation activities upon completing treatment phase.
