About The Position

The Cabinet for Health & Family Services (CHFS), Department for Public Health, Viral Disease Prevention and Services Branch (VDPSB) is seeking an Administrative Specialist. This federally funded time-limited (FFTL) position is critical to improving the health of Kentuckians and ending the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) epidemic. The selected candidate will provide professional support in the review, evaluation, development, and implementation of agency activities. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to population health and is paid entirely through a federal grant, with employment duration not exceeding the life of the grant. The position is designated as unclassified (non-merit) but eligible for benefits at the same level as classified (merit) employees. The agency may authorize telecommuting, but this arrangement can be modified or terminated at any time.

Requirements

Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
One year of professional, administrative, or business experience.
Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

Provides professional support in the review, evaluation, development and implementation of agency's activities.
Reviews, verifies, and processes Kentucky Health Insurance Continuation Program (KHICP) insurance premium invoices.
Completes data entry into the HIV Ryan White Part B Eligibility Portal.
Validates KHICP premium expenditures data import file.
Attends calls, webinars and meetings.
Other duties as assigned
