Washington County’s Juvenile Department is seeking an Administrative Specialist II to support its Conciliation Services Team. The position carries out daily administrative work as directed by the State of Oregon Courts and supports the Family Law Education Program and mediation services required by Oregon law. The team includes a supervisor, two Conciliation Counselors, and an Administrative Specialist II. The role schedules clients, handles a high volume of direct client contact, collaborates on an ongoing file-digitization project, helps develop and manage the client database, and ensures timely, detailed communication with the court. It calls for effective, empathetic engagement with clients in high-conflict divorce and child-custody situations, strong technical and database skills, organization, flexibility, sound independent judgment, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries under pressure. Spanish/English bilingual skills are preferred but not required. Conciliation Services provides court-ordered and voluntary mediation, couples and co-parent counseling, and high-conflict co-parent education to help parents work toward resolving divorce or custody disputes involving children. Washington County’s Juvenile Department works with families, schools, law enforcement, and community partners to support youth and families, while honoring victims’ rights and interests. The County describes its workplace as committed to innovation, collaboration, work-life harmony, employee development, and community service.
