About The Position

Health Care Personnel Investigations reviews and investigates allegations of abuse, neglect, fraud, diversion of drugs, and misappropriation of property against unlicensed health care workers and lists any substantiated finding(s) on the Nurse Aide I Registry and Health Care Personnel Registry for use by health care providers in their hiring process. This position provides clerical support to the Administrative Supervisor and Nurse Consultants including administrative, clerical, and data entry functions to support the Investigations Unit of the Section. This includes ensuring timely and accurate creation of cases, entering case data, and updating case information in the Health Care Personnel Investigations and the National Practitioner Data Bank databases. This also includes timely and accurate completion of appropriate logs, based on information received from health care providers, Nurse Consultant Investigators and Supervisors and the administrative courts. This position also prepares letters/correspondence, tracks receipt of returned letters/correspondence and mail tracking notices, tracks Administrative Court actions, interacts with health care providers to obtain needed information, coordinates investigative file sharing with Division attorneys, responds to public inquiries and requests for public information via telephone, and files case documents.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities
