About The Position

This is a temporary position located at 1915 Health Services Way, Raleigh - Wake County, with Department of Health and Human Services. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as administrative support to the Operations team within the State Center of Health Statistics. Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Considerable written and oral communication skills in order to work with vendors, the purchasing office, the budget office, and SCHS leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for purchasing, including but not limited to commodities, maintaining inventory, equipment, equipment/maintenance agreements, fixed assets, and other items for SCHS and its branches.
  • Following all purchasing operational standards per the Program & Financial Integrity (PFI) Officer, DPH Purchasing Leadership, and the DPH Budget Office.
  • Maintaining an accurate record of all purchasing, invoicing, travel, and other documentation that moves through the Operations team.
  • Must be familiar with writing, preparing, and routing invoices to the PFI Officer for review & signature before submitting invoices for payment.
  • Must have a knowledge of proper procedures for purchasing, invoicing, surplus, travel, and other items that fall under the Operations team.
  • Responsible for the condition of all equipment and fixed assets, including issuing fixed asset tags, organizing and managing the surplus of equipment and furniture, coordinating equipment maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
  • Other administrative duties include but are not limited to ID badges, parking forms, acting as the Cotton building coordinator, and key management.
