About The Position

This is a temporary position with the Office of State Human Resources, Temporary Solutions division. The agency aims to provide a solid Human Resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize the potential of its employees. This temporary position is located at 3301 Terminal Drive, Raleigh, NC - Wake County with the Department of Revenue. The hourly rate of pay is $18.77, based on education and/or years of relevant work experience. Temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time and must be fully qualified for the job. OSHR supports the Governor's Job Ready initiative and seeks to expand a temporary skill set to enhance qualifications for State government and private sector jobs. Exposure to an agency's culture, process, procedures, and potential learning opportunities can provide valuable experience for those seeking permanent employment with the state.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be fully qualified for the job.
• Must separate from permanent or time-limited position to work in a temporary position (for permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees).

Responsibilities

• Assist taxpayers by answering questions and helping complete paperwork related to their accounts.

• Use Department of Revenue mainframe computer systems and work in multiple computer systems to achieve goals.
