About The Position

This is a temporary position with the Office of State Human Resources (OSHR) Temporary Solutions division. The agency's mission is to provide a solid Human Resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize the potential of its employees. This role serves as a one-on-one direct support and/or administrative support to upper management positions. Work ranges from standardized office support assignments to performance of administrative duties involving decision-making and judgment. Public contact is a major component of positions, both internal and external to the organization. Work requires contact with program staff, managers of other units within the organization, representatives of other state agencies/universities, clients, service recipients, elected/appointed representatives, and the public. Positions in this class may coordinate business functions of the unit including, human resources administration, and office coordination.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be fully qualified for the job.
  • Temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.
