About The Position

This position is located at Richmond Correctional Institute in Hoffman, NC. Richmond is a medium custody prison housing male offenders and is designed to house 420 offenders. The role reports directly to the Nurse Supervisor I and will have daily contact with offenders, working within the nursing department. The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with over 14,000 employees, responsible for safeguarding lives and property, and the care, custody, and supervision of adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. The department includes state prisons, probation/parole services, Administration, Health Services, Rehabilitation & Reentry, Special Operations, and the Post-Release Supervision & Parole Commission.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Documented prior experience in a medical office.
  • Documented experience with medical records.
  • Must pass a background check to be eligible for this job.
