About The Position

The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring for two (2) Full-Time, Permanent Administrative Specialist 2 – Sex Offender Registration Unit positions. These are in-office positions without the opportunity for a hybrid or remote work schedule. Requirements

  • Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis; OR An associate degree in general office occupations and two years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, research and verify offender registration documents.
  • Ensure accuracy of sex offender registry to meet state and federal statutory requirements.
  • Interpret laws, rules, policies and procedures, and apply those interpretations to determine registration obligations and compliance.
  • Take action to protect the public and release information if it is of the public interest.
  • Work with a high degree of independence and receive general supervision.
