About The Position

The Department of Environmental Services (DES) is seeking a high-performing, technically competent, and environmentally oriented Administrative Services Manager to join the Solid Waste Bureau (SWB) and manage a small team and report to the SWB Chief. This position will play a critical role in administration, budget oversight, performance management, business intelligence, technology integration, and strategic plan implementation. The SWB provides and regulates trash and recycling services for the County’s estimated population of 230,000 and is actively working toward Arlington’s Zero Waste goal.
