  • Experience maintaining personnel and hiring paperwork.
  • Experience maintaining documents for SACS reviews.
  • Experience assisting a search committee chairperson with job postings and interview coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Assist students with requests such as schedules and permits.
  • Assist faculty with classroom and computer needs, and provide support during absences.
  • Manage office operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and productive workflow for faculty, staff, students, and student workers.
  • Perform general secretarial duties.
  • Monitor the ordering of office supplies and equipment.
  • Assist the departmental chair with their job duties, including meeting deadlines and advising on operational and budgetary matters.
  • Create and maintain the course schedule and room assignments.
  • Maintain all required paperwork related to personnel and hiring.
  • Maintain required documents for SACS reviews.
  • Assist the search committee chairperson with placing job ads, coordinating interviewee travel, lodging, meals, presentations, and meetings.
