Requirements

  • A Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience required.
  • Valid N.Y.S. Driver’s License
  • NYS driver’s license check
  • State Central Register Clearance
  • Creative problem solving
  • Negotiation and De-escalation
  • Communication, conflict management and critical thinking
  • Organization and Proficiency in budgeting and money management
  • Accuracy in data collection, entry, and quality control using web-based databases
  • Strong oral/written communication and active listening skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other tech tools designed for office-use

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in housing or housing vulnerable populations, with knowledge of social service resource systems for veterans and people with disabilities experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing their housing strongly preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of a technical field can be required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the administrative and operational functions of the Housing Services Center, providing essential administrative coordination to ensure smooth and effective program operations.
  • Ensures program compliance, efficient intake and enrollment processes, accurate data management, and maintenance of program statistics.
  • Ensures the maintenance and timely completion of all program statistics and reports required by the funding source and Catholic Charities.
  • Tracks and orders program related materials and supplies.
  • Monitors expenses and the use of program assets.
  • Supports clear communication with program participants, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Acts as a professional role model and serves as a resource for staff, and program participants.
  • Interprets and upholds policies and procedures of Catholic Charities, the funding source, and the program.
